What tasks can you expect?
- Supporting the Sales Engineers by conducting presales activities which include: actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, making machine and parts processing assessments and recommendations.
- Assisting in the installation of complex machines and auxiliary equipment when required at the Technology Centre or at Customers’ premises, external and internal exhibitions.
- Reviewing, evaluating, and resolving machine maintenance and applications-related problems at customer sites with the overall intention of improving and enhancing the performance of the machinery and usage optimization.
- Conducting operator training on all machine controls.
- Performing process trouble shooting with Customer and Field Service Engineers directly and on the phone as process technology expert.
- Managing the full turnkey process development and implementation phases. This includes preparation of tooling, programming and operation of machine tools, in order to demonstrate the machine capabilities to customers and operators.
- Conducting layout, time study analysis of components, cost estimates, drafting engineering reports as well as interpreting plans and specifications.
- Conducting frequent customer visits, to establish and maintain effective relationships, identify customer opportunities for sales and assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
Your Profile
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in operation and troubleshooting of CNC machine tools, applications and automation-related manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CNC machining set up and programming as well as customization of machine tool control software.
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to provide tailored solutions.
- Customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
- Results-oriented, self-directed and the ability to work in a consultative, solution-oriented sales environment.
- Prior project management experience will be considered an asset as well as the ability to perform cost analysis for improving productivity and documenting cost savings.
